So sure that in 1999 they staked the former Denny’s sausage spokesmodel with a $100,000 advance, $5,000 a month in living expenses and an apartment in Marina Del Rey, California, spending roughly $2.2 million in all on her 2001 debut, Ultimate High. How wrong were they? In its first three months in stores, Ultimate High sold a whopping 378 copies, putting the label’s investment somewhere in the order of $5,820 per copy sold. Last seen, Hennessy had resurfaced—still looking for her big break—on season seven of American Idol.
Now she’s an Idol favorite. So seven years later, she’s working at a pub. At least she had nicer hair then.

notice how the judges, other than Simon, can’t give her a decent appraisal. She deserved it for being original, but Randy and Paula don’t like her. Wait and see, they’ll tear her down at every step.
Kristy is pretty cool. Great looking and not a bad singer. This isn’t bad. Everyone liked the country twang she gives it and I wouldn’t be surprised if somebody releases a cover of this song on the country charts.
Christ this is awful. How can you sing worse than Joan Jet? Well she does it. Seriously this was bad. Still looks like there’s a skunk on her fucking head. Plus, I hate how she dances. The judges loved it. I think Simon is fucking brain-dead. She is cute when she smiles though. Beyond that, it was bad. The only explanation is the producers want her in the top twelve.
